How to post to Instagram with Claude

You can ask Claude Desktop to post to Instagram for you. No copy-paste. No extra app. You just tell Claude what you want to post and Claude does it.

Here is the whole setup. It takes about 60 seconds.

What you need

• A tinyposter account (sign up free for 3 days)
• Claude Desktop installed on your Mac or PC
• An Instagram account you can connect

Step 1: Get a tinyposter token

1. Sign in to tinyposter
2. Go to Dashboard → Tokens
3. Click New token and name it "Claude Desktop"
4. Copy the token. It starts with tp_…. You only see it once.

Step 2: Connect Instagram

1. In tinyposter, go to Accounts
2. Click the Instagram tile
3. Sign in with your real Instagram. You only have to do this once.

You can connect as many platforms as you want. Claude will see all of them.

Step 3: Drop the token into Claude Desktop

Open Claude Desktop's config file. On a Mac that is:

Save the file. Quit Claude Desktop. Open it again.

Step 4: Post to Instagram

Open a new chat in Claude Desktop. Try one of these:

• "Post to my Instagram: a tip about morning routines"
• "Write a carousel for Instagram about 5 ways to use AI for content"
• "Schedule an Instagram post for tomorrow at 9am about my new article"

Claude writes the caption. Claude picks the right format. Claude posts it.

What if I want to use a photo or video?

Drop the image or video into the chat with Claude. Then ask Claude to post it to Instagram with a caption. Claude reads the file, picks Instagram, and uploads.

Instagram needs media. Tinyposter checks the aspect ratio before posting and tells Claude if there is a problem. No more failed posts.

Can Claude schedule for later?

Yes. Just tell Claude when. Examples:

• "Schedule this for Friday at 10am"
• "Post it tomorrow morning"
• "Queue it for Tuesday afternoon"

The post lands in your tinyposter calendar. You can move it, edit it, or cancel it from the website or by asking Claude.
